Summary of Care Instructions

• For True Medical Emergencies: Call 911 or immediately head to the closest hospital emergency room.
• For Non-Life-Threatening Issues: Call the office line at 973-237-0700 before leaving your home. Follow the voice prompts to page the on-call medical provider.
• If You Are Admitted or Visit the ER: It is mandatory to  contact our office directly as soon as possible. Do not assume or rely on the hospital staff to notify them.

Available Services & Cost Advantage

• 24/7 Telemedicine: The practice offers after-hours virtual appointments for all urgent, non-life-threatening conditions.
• Lower Costs: Seeking care through an office visit or a telemedicine appointment is significantly less expensive than visiting an urgent care facility or an emergency room, even when the final medical diagnosis is exactly the same.

Policy on Medication Refills

Prescriptions are written as a three to six month supply designed to last exactly until your next scheduled office visit. Refills will not be approved without the necessary follow-up appointments or required blood work to ensure your medical safety. You must track your remaining supply and schedule your next appointment before your current medication runs out.

Referrals

Check your insurance policy first to see if your plan requires a referral before scheduling a specialist visit or medical test. If required, book the specialist appointment and then notify our office at least 7 business days in advance with the specialist’s name, phone number, and appointment date. Please note that electronic referrals cannot be backdated, and same-day requests are only processed in an emergency.

Your Test Results

Most conventional lab work is processed through Lab Corp or Quest Diagnostics and takes at least seven working days to reach our office. Please note that the provider will not see or review your results until all ordered tests are completely finalized. Once everything is complete, you must discuss your results, dietary changes, and medication adjustments during a scheduled follow-up appointment
